subchorionic hemorrhage

posted 1st Feb
If you had one did your doctor do u/s to check and see if it was shrinking? From the looks of it mine is pretty big. My last post has a pic of it. He did tell me I may notice more bleeding and maybe some clotting or it me just re absorb. I had a little bleeding already yesterday and this morning. If you did bleed, how long was it before you stop bleeding?

I had a subchorinic hemorrhage with my current pregnancy. I was 8-9 weeks when I had some brown spotting . I went to the ER where I received the diagnoses. I was put on pelvic and told to take it easy. I had spotting off and on for about 2 months. During my last u/s I was told they didn't see the hemorrhage any more and return to normal activity . If at any time the bleeding returned I was to call the dr and stop all activity until they clearded me again. My best advice is to take it easy and peliv rest until it resloves itself hopefully. If you have any questions contact me any time. Good luck

My doctor didn't say any of that. He just said it would not hurt the pregnancy. I am getting the 12 week screening done but he didn't say anything about another ultrasound.

I had one with my first pregnancy that was a decent size. I bled pretty much the whole first trimester, spotting and sometimes a little more. The Dr. did not monitor it, just said it would slowly go away on its own. By the time I had my anatomy scan it was gone. Hope this helps! Try not to worry!

I had one with my son from 6 wks til 17 weeks.. i bled a lot and had tons of cramping and big clots.. the doctor told me to relax not to get too excited, no exercise.. basically nothing that would cause my heart rate to increase because everytime my heart beat too fast it would pump more blood into the s/h and cause me to gush again.. i did get ultrasounds twice a week to keep a eye on it but mainly because i'm high risk..

There is an online support group for women with this condition. Baby Center is the web site that has that support group. They give a lot of advice and support cause they have all been through it . Every doctor is different. It could depend on their experience with the condition. Next appointment ask a lot of questions. Most of the time everything turns out fine. All I can say is my doctors wanted to be very proactive and cautious. Good luck.

I had it with my daughter and son! I bled with both pregnancies although my son was large amounts and bright red bleeding. My daughter I started bleeding at 6 weeks and bled till 25 weeks but I also had placenta previa with her and son started at 6 weeks 6 days and bled until 13weeks 4 days. I had ultrasound to monitor to make sure that they did shrink.
