So my kid is potty trained :)

posted 1st Feb
So my almost 3.5 year old finally figured out how to use the potty!

I'm so excited and proud of her. I honestly thought it would never happen. Like...ever. She just woke up and decided to not piss herself.

So....I feel slightly bad for being so annoyed with her. Not because she's potty trained now, but because she feels the need to be in the bathroom every 3 minutes. Then she's all "Mom...mom..mom..Mom...Mom....MOM, MOM,MOM,MOM,MOM"!!! Like literally...every time she's in there. My head hurts. I have so much that needs to be done and can't get there because the kid wants to stop my whole world for a few drops of pee making it in the toilet. I know she's still excited, but when does it just get....like...normal?

My daughter is 2.5 and trained but she is to scared to go into the bathroom and step on the stool to turn the light on so every 5 mins "mom turn the light on!" So annoying lol luckily I found these cool light switch attachments that glow in the dark!

Haha, aww, Yea, that's a good idea. Mine isn't scared of the dark and she can reach the light switch..I think it's just her being so excited and still wanting me to watch her do it.

Where did you find them? I've been looking for a while for my DD room and her bathroom.

Yea, mine likes to dunk her butt in the toilet water.
Weirdo child.

But she can wipe her vag just fine. The poops are really the only ones she'll need help with cause she doesn't wipe her butt much.

not too long ago I was tired of wiping ass and thought I would try to teach her and now she just tries to do it herself without even letting you know. She does not do a good job at all. I wish I hadn't even said anything

Why? Does she just smear it around all over the place?

Also do you let her use regular TP or wipes still?

DD will not go in the bathroom unless the light is on. She is finally using her stool. We usually just leave her light on all day haha

I leave the hallway light on for my son and tell him you are a big boy now. GO by yourself. There are plenty of times I have to go pee with him but when he poo's he will go all by himself and not ask me to go and just yell for me to come clean his butt.
I bought a stool at the general dollar store where it folds up and down quick.

she just can't get the hang of it, she just wipes the top of her crack and doesn't get any of the smurf off. Wipes are way easier for me to wipe her with but we use both.

Woo! I remember your previous post. DS is now fully potty trained too. It took a couple days for him to just go pee on his own. He still wants me to sit with him while he poops but that's only once a day.

lol....Im proud of her too!

But I hear ya on the bathroom time. When Maximus was first trained I was annoyed and felt like it was so much easier to just change a diaper every few hours.

But it is better   Now I have him go in the morning by himself while I get an extra 2 mins of sleep lol. I just have to remind him to pull his pants down or he'll just go hahah.

Just a word of advice.....Keep praising the smurf out of her for a few more months to hold back regression or accidents.

Oh thank you! I I'll definitely do that. I mean, she's been getting a sticker every single time she goes. I'm thinking of getitng her little temporary tattoos so I don't have to keep peeling stickers from the carpet. Sure she'll look like a little biker momma, but at least the stickers won't take over.
