how long after bloody show?

does labor usually come soon after bloody show? I woke this morning and when i went to the bathroom there was a darker redish/brown color mucus when i wiped. Iwas told this is my bloody show. Ive had a few contractions today. When i went to the doctor yesturday i was only 1.5 cm dialated and 75% effaced. Today is my due date. While i was at the doctors she swept my membraes for the second time.

this is the exact dates of how my bloody show to labor to delivery went down

Saturday Feb 6, 2010: bloody show/mucus plug
Sunday Feb 7, 2010: mild contractions and uncomfortableness
Monday Feb 8, 2010: contractions for about 6 hours.
Tuesday Feb 9,2010: water broke at midnight, 10 hours later gave birth..


I've heard people can lose it weeks before they go into labor but I've also heard the day they lost it they could go into labor..

if you're feeling contractions just walk around and try to stimulate yourself to help the labor progress...good luck!

Start walking! Lol seriously though it could be today or even weeks from now, get to walking around to help labor come.

i never had my bloody show

It differs for everyone. I had my kids the day after I had my bloody show.

I had my bloody show in the hospital 3 hours after my water broke. :/

38 weeks & 1 day - Lost mucus plug/bloody show.
39 weeks - My water started leaking, doctor broke it completely & I had my son 4 hours later.

just walk! i did and i went into labor that night, i had babya bout 3 hrs after show...last week :0)

Ive been having mild contractions all day. Usually they are about 10-15 minutes apart but dont last to to long. I walked a ton today so hopefully he comes soon   i feel like i have to pee constantly too and feel a lot of extra pressure in my pelvic region. Hes already head down and the doctor told me yesturday that i dropped a lot more since my 39 week visit
