Positive thoughts please

I feel bad posting this in here with women talking about losing their children. I've been in here myself.  

Today I need positive thoughts for my husband. Yesterday they found his father passed away in bed. He lived in Florida, so we didnt make it out much, but they talked all the time, and were really close.

My husband is heartbroken. I've never seen him so sad or cry so much, and I feel so helpless. I want to help but I dont know what to do. I know there is a fine line between comfort and smothering, and I want to make sure I'm helping him the right way. I'm so very sad for him.

Thank you so much ladies. I lost my grandparents when I was a teenager, but don't really remember much. I think as an adult, I would react completely different.

It's difficult because there was no warning... he felt slightly ill one day, called into work, and went back to bed. Never got up. I feel hopeful that he passed peacefully in his sleep, so I hope that's the case.

thats how my husband and his dad are, I couldn't imagine his reaction how he would react if he got that kind of news. I think taking him out for dinner or something to get his mind off of it can be a good start. I'm sorry for your loss, sending positive thoughts your way!!

<3 Thank you so much. I'm so worried about him..... I really am. He had a bunch of Jack Daniels then cried himself to sleep.       I feel so powerless. He went to work today, and I have no idea why.... He's still in a bit of a shock I think. We're figuring out when the services are, so we can get a (last minute) plane ticket from Phoenix to Florida. Ugh. They're like 400 bucks each way. Oh well... we'll make it happen. I'll sell my camera, or whatever I have to do. I wont be able to go, but he needs to do this. He'll regret it if he doesn't.
