Well crap

I had planned on going to a Pagan gathering for Imbolc tomorrow night. I told SO in January I was going, where it would be, what time it would be, etc. he said ok that's fine that I went.

Well DD was talking about the gathering this morning while we were all getting ready for school. SO asks me what she was talking about. I told him it was the gathering we were going to tomorrow.
He asked what gathering was I talking about. I told him the Pagan gathering and asked him if he remembered.
He thought about it for a little while then said that yes, he did remember but I haven't mentioned it lately, which I didn't think to mention it again.

SO got ill and said well he guesses he's expected to take care of DS by himself and thank you so much for that.
I told him if he didn't want to keep DS, I could take him with me. It's just that I know SO doesn't really want DS doing Pagan stuff.
SO responded that he doesn't want DS going to stuff like that.
Then he left for work.

I didn't even think to mention the gathering again after I told him about it. I didn't mean to make him ill.

well how i see it he can either watch ds and let you have religious freedom or take ds with you.

he sounds grumpy... like he needs a nap. lol.

why would he have a problem watching his own son, though?

He doesn't really want DS to Pagan stuff, so he said no when I offered to take him this morning. I knew he felt like that about it so I don't plan on taking DS.

I guess he's just ill because I forgot to mention it again. I don't know. :/

Lol he could use a nap. He stays tired all the time.
He likes to have the weekend off of taking care of the kids because he takes care of them completely by himself everyday M-F because I work nights.

if he doesnt want him to go to pagan stuff then he will watch his son. if not then id go and take ds with me anyways since its obviously not that important.

SO doesn't really want me going to Pagan stuff either, but he can't really stop me. So maybe that's another reason for his grumpiness.

poor guy. can someone else take DS for the night? then you and DD can do your thing and hubby can have some peace and quiet. i bet he would like that.

lol my so doesnt like pagan stuff either. i dont really practice though but i love to read about it and see it if that makes sense. id be like well i dont want ds to go to insert so's faith here lol. i told so that im teaching our children many different religiouns and he better get used to it lol.

He would love that. I may try to call up my dad. I had planned on telling SO to go do something fun all day on Sunday by himself. He never gets a break, poor thing.

yeah, maybe he could go out and do something during the day and have a night at home to himself to relax.

I'm teaching DD to be open to all faiths. I'm raising her Pagan right now, but if she decides she doesn't want to be Pagan later on that's fine.
SO is raising DS to be Christian.
DS is SO's child and DD is mine. We were raising our kids like that before we moved in together.

k i gotcha. i would explain to him that there will be a time where he will want you to watch ds so he can do christian crap. that both faiths need respected in the house
