Weird feeling before labor?

posted 1st Feb
I'm 4cm dilated (as of the day before yesterday), effaced, been having steady contractions for a few days. (Yay for prodromal labor) I thought my doc would stop my impending labor, but instead they sent me home to labor. =\ they said I'll probably have her soon, since I was making progress daily.

I woe up tonight with a bizarre feeling. I just feel weird and anxious. And I have new pressure and it feels like my cervix is trying to blow a bubble... Or like there's something in there. I tried to go to the bathroom, but don't need to go. Lots of peeing suddenly though. I wiped and got fresh bloody mucus.

I'm having period cramps and an occasional contraction, but lots of poop pressure. Should I go to the hospital?

You are high risk right? I believe you should go in but if you feel the need to call l and d to ask them I'm sure they would say to come in. That bubble your feeling could be your waters.

I am starting to know them by name! Uhhhhh.

I can deal with bulging water, as long as my vagina doesn't blow bubbles. Hahs

Lol I say call them let me know what's going on and see if they want you to come in since you were a 4? Last time, you could be dialated more. Can't hurt

Me personally, I would go in right away. I think you should call though and see what they have to say.

They are probably going to tell you to go in.

I got a sleepy resident who interrupted me and told me he things I need to watch for, which was everything I've been seen for and currently have going on. Lol. What. They are about to shift change anyway, so I will probably just go in

I am in no way a doctor, but to me it sounds like you are dilating more and the "bubble" feeling is the bag of water at your cervix. Especially because you had bloody show. I'd head in and let them check you. It's better to be safe than sorry. Good luck!

I would also think it's your waters bulging....and the "poop" feeling...I got that when I was in early labor with Lindy. It was back labor, and I kept feeling like I needed to poop but nothing would happen. As it progressed I realized it was contractions that I felt all on the back side. I eventually started feeling like my hips and tailbone were trying to explode with each contraction.

I know she's facing the wrong direction. And her heads tilted back a little, but I'm not sure which way leads to back labor. My sacrum is messed up from being an EMT, and her head is tilted back against my butt. So makes sense!

Yep...Lindy was transverse, and that leads to back labor. Supposedly getting on your hands and knees and letting your belly hang can lead to them flipping over and relieving the pressure. My sacrum is also screwed up big time!
