I've lost faith in justice

Basically on Monday afternoon I was attacked in the middle of a street by a 60year old woman with her zimmer, which trust me how she ran at me she does not need! This woman fell out with my mother 4 years ago, I haven't seen nor spoke to her in over that time but this particular day she decides to take pay back on my mother by attacking me. She could see I am clearly heavily pregnant and I'm sad to say that's why she has chose to attack me over my mother.

CCTV shows exactly what I said happened, I left a bakery with my 3 year old. She ran after me and I turned just intime to see the zimmer coming at my head. So for me, my unborn and my daughter I blocked the hit and pushed her away with the same arm because I had my daughter in the other. She then connected a punch with my face so again I defended myself with my arm by shoving her away, then my mum has stepped in and pu the woman, we all got into the car and it was shown I was calling the police at the time to report it.

Even with CCTV footage I have been given a £40 fine for breech of the peace and they police will not take it further as they have no secondary evidence. This woman who was find at the time of it happening and the police witnessed she was absolutely fine with no marks, has gone on to break her own nose and scratch her face the following day before the police visited her claiming it happened at the time..thankful the police are stupid enough to believe her. But she is sti threatening me and slandering my name at any given point considering she attacked me.

I'm so tired out from this now, I have to much going on as I am off work with my heart defect. I'm shocked that even with CCTV the police have fine me and let her walk. I don't think I believe in police justice anymore.

Can you take out an AVO?

What is that?

I'm going to see my solicitor about having an non harassment orde put on her, it's a civil order but if she breaks it she would be given an unlimited fine or put to jail. She has a previous record for this kind of behavior and I'm clean..but I feel like I'm being punished. Makes me sick...
