My son is and I dont regret it but to be honest if I had to do it over again I dont really know if I would again. And I dont care what others are doing, Im up to my eyeballs in things I have to worry about with my own, dont really have time for others.

It seems like more and more baby boys are now intact. They don't even cut as much skin as they used to which sometimes leads to problems.

Well people are realizing that it's an unnecessary procedure.

I'm anti-circ, but then again I live in a country that doesn't do routine infant circumcision.

America is the only country that routinely circ's for non-religious reasons. I think that says something. *shrug*

I dont care what others do with their kid, but if I had a boy I would circ, only because every boyfriend I have had in the past that wasnt circ'd, had problems with their junk. SO was circd when he was 7 (for medical reasons) and he's glad it was done.

I am totally against it when done for routine reasons. I am also against other things that to me infringe on the rights of the individual over their own person. I would never do anything to my children's body that wasn't a medical necessity. They can do what they want with their own person when they are of age to decide & have their own opinion on it.

I didn't start off anti-circ...quite the opposite. It was looking at it objectively that hit me like a ton of bricks....seeing it as if it were me & MY genitals.

I'm Anti-Circ but then I'm fortunate enough to come from somewhere that routine infant Circumcision doesn't exist, less than 3% of males have it done and it's strictly for medical reasons. I find it really odd that America is the only country who routinely performs this cosmetic procedure on their infants, a procedure that messes with a male's genitals but then throws their hands up in the air at child abuse. To everyone else this is abuse and a human rights issue and is completely disgusting and disgraceful thing to do to children. I also find it ridiculous when Mothers say it is to prevent UTI's, STD/I's, etc when you compare the statistics to Western Countries where routine infant Circ'ing doesn't exist America has higher rates of all of these so clearly that logic is pretty flawed and just makes the whole thing sound even more stupid than it already is. I mean why do you think Doctors must inform prior to doing it that it is just a cosmetic procedure? Uhm because that is all it is, it's not rocket science

Completely against it. I wont sit there and make a parent feel like smurf for circumcising their kid though.
