Made salsa too hot. Remedy?

So Im making two kinds of salsa for superbowl sunday. My husband is throwing a huge party for some people at church so I am making huge pots of this stuff. So the diced tomatoes I got were diced tomatoes with green chilies. I have used this a lot in the past but forgot exactly how spicy it gets. then I added a bunch of onion...
now my not spicy salsa is really spicy. how would I remedy this? just add some regular diced tomatoes? and should I wait until the day of so that it doesnt get spicy as it sits?

add a tiny bit of peanut butter and mix it in thoroughly. It takes the heat out.

Hmm.. Sugar counteracts too much salt, so maybe it would do the same for the heat

Make a new batch to be safe?

I havent made the spicy yet, so maybe if I just get large cans of diced tomatoes I can do that...

Add more plain tomatoes.

fresh diced tomatoes and maybe add some lime juice? im not too sure

We used to put a sugar packet in the salsa at restaurants as a kid if it was still spicy. Works like a charm!

Thanks ladies! I ended up going back to the store and getting some fire roasted tomatoes, and corn which I am roasting now, and made a new batch. the other batch I am going to make the super spicy salsa.
