Can anyone make sense of this?

I took this OPK yesterday:

Not positive, yet. But, I came home earlier today and took another OPK at noon. It was very faint, so I figured I missed my surge. Well, I took another one at 10pm, and the line was darker than the one at noon. So why would my OPK's go from sort of dark, to light, to dark again?

OPK at noon on top, OPK at 10pm on bottom:

Your urine was more diluted with the lighter one. Drinking a lot of water and urinating frequently can dilute urine. If you wait longer between urinating the hormones have time to build up. Thats why they say its best to test with morning urine. Light or dark, a positive is a positive. Congrats!

It's not a pregnancy test lol.

OP, you can have surges at different times in the day. It's usually best to test around 2-3 because that's when your LH level is USUALLY at it's highest. But it can vary.

You're not suppose to test in the am. I always did 3 and 7pm. You're still in the game.

Never test in the morning. Test in the late afternoon or early evening. I preferred to test around 3pm when I used them.

To be perfectly honest, I hate OPKs.   I had more success with the fertility monitor but I borrowed it from a friend.

I didn't test in the AM, though   And I made sure it wasn't FMU. I worked from 4am-noon, so I tested at about 12:30 when I got home from work.

It's a little after 3 here, so I'll test again in a little bit. I really dislike having to use OPK's... but I really want an October baby
