Tubal Reversal in Lubbock TX

posted 31st Jan
Hi
It's been a long while since I've been here. So after 3yrs of deciding whether or not we want another child we are pushing forward and have set up a consultation to have a tubal reversal. Have anyone of you ladies had one done? If so what was your experince? Do you have any advice?

I know it's not a 100% thing that i'll work, but that's pretty much all I know.

I had my tubal reversal done March 4, 2011 by Dr Bernard Rosenfel in Houston Texas. In less then 2 months I was pregnant and gave birth to my daughter Jan 4, 2012. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant with my 3rd son and due July 5th. I was 22 when I had my tubal ligation and was 37 when I had it reversed. I love Dr Rosenfel because he is careful about the patients he takes. He does a lot of testing before he does the surgery to insure you are a good candidate. He staff is also kind and caring. One of my former co workers also went to him and just gave birth to a son 2 months ago. One thing about Dr, Rosenfel is he uses a q-pain buster pump which was great and helped with the pain. His prices are about the same as you quoted to someone else. He also has a facebook page and web site. Feel free to ask me any question. I didn't know anyone who had one before I had mine.

I was thinking the same thing! I have 1 daughter and got my tubil clamps. my daughter is almost 12 years old now and i tried to go through invetro but they say I need to loose weight first (about 60 pounds) I have been having trouble getting the weight off so thought about tubil reversal which here in California in my local area after surgery and medication and ect ect im looking at 12 thousand as opposed to invetro which will only be about 8 thousand for me here and then another 2 thousand if I want a second implant. Im torn. I want the reversal but its not guaranteed plus the dr here hasnt done one in over 7 years so I would probably have to find somewhere else instead to get it done. Im interested in following along with you in your journey. If I can get pregnant I would love to have more babies for myself and possibly experience being a surrogate...although being a surrogate I might have to have the proper BMI as well unless I do private non agency pregnancy with adoption. Im not sure of the terminology but where my husband and I create a child instead of going through invetro. Are there other ways??

Dessii I was overweight when I had my tubal reversal. I was 5' 6" and about 200 pounds. They made me take blood thinner shots after my surgery for 10 day to prevent blood clots but other then that everything else was normal. If you do decide to have a tubal reversal make sure you go to someone who has a lot of experience doing it. The doctor I used has a 80% success rate. One of the thing I loved the best was the pain management he uses. He uses a Q pain buster. It was wonderful and able to resume my normal activity sooner. He is has good prices. It was about $ 6,400 not counting my blood thinner shots . If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

were you able to be awake for the reversal??? or did they give you anestesia? if they did give you that, was that included in the price?? Heck its almost cheaper if I just get a plane ticket there and get it done lol California is so expensive!

I was asleep during the reversal so I don't remember a thing. Yes everything except the blood thinner was included. The blood thinner were about 300 dollars but since I didn't have insurance I had to pay out of pocket. Insurance might cover it. The clinic told me everything that was covered for the amount I paid. They did forget to tell me about the blood thinners but I had gained weight between the time I made the appointment and the surgery.  So that might have been my fault. Gota love stress eating.

That's amazing! Will you please give me his Facebook page? I just want to look around. I already have my appt set. I'm so excited. I have three kids and a part of me keeps wondering if I'm being selfish wanting another. But for the past 3 yrs. we've been talking about. I feel like it's at my fingertips, but I just can't grasp onto it yet.

You aren't being selfish. I have teenagers and asked them how they felt about having me having more children. They really didn't mind. In fact my second son adores his baby sister so much. He takes pictures of her all the time. My Dr's name is Bernard Rosenfeld from Houston Texas. He has a facebook page but his web page explains a lot more about the tubal reversal.

Thank you. I also asked my soon to be 10yr old how he felt about it, he was excited of the thought. lol! My daughter who will be 5 this month said,"only if it's a girl". lol and my middle child doesn't seem to mind although he's only 6.
