re: What car seat does your THREE year old have?

Safety First alpha elite 65 in one car, nautilus in the other. She prefers the alpha elite though. She gets excited when we go in that car

I have the alpha elite too! love it! I'm going to buy another car seat to put in our other vehicle just to keep things easy for when this one comes. Do you think I should give the nautilus a try or stick with what works?

DD prefers hers over the nautilus. I think they are both great, but they do the same things and are the same price. I just like how the alpha is heavier, idk, just feels sturdy.

We've had the Recaro Signo since birth, and DD is still rear facing at 3.5  

Size4Me and My Ride

Addison rearfaced to 3 years old in a True Fit, then we turned her forward facing in a Nautilus. At 4 1/2 she's still in the harness.

My daughter will be 3 in a few months but she and my son (5 in March) have rear facing Diono Radian RXT's.

Recaro Proride and Signo

Claire is almost 3.5 and she's in a XTSL.

Jackson has the Graco Nautilus.

So I just looked up my car seats because after I posted that I had a signo I was having second thoughts. In my car I have the ProRide and in my SO truck we have the Prosport.

The Proride I LOVE, I don't think I have any complaints well maybe that I don't have a cup holder but that is easily fixable. I have been using this car seat since DD was about 9 months. It does take a bit to figure out how to take it apart but once you get it, it is easy. Have you looked into the Prosport?

Yes, I have looked at the Pro series line, and after reading some reviews, I wasn't impressed. I guess a lot of people were complaining about the lead content, and how it's not safe in that regard? But I only read a couple articles. Her seat is due to expire next year, so we need to get her a new one. I DO want to stick with Recaro. I haven't found any other brand that compares.... Well, except for one that is featured in DHs car magazines. HAHA

Yup we are pretty close. I go up to Lake County every once in a while to visit friends. I didn't hear about lead content but I do love my Proride, I just don't remember how long she will be able to use it for

It says it can rear face up to 35 pounds, and FF until 70 pounds.
