valentine ideas for school?

Ive searched google and looked through pintrest but I know there are a lot of crafty mommas here!

My son is in kindergarten. I want to stay away from candy if possible and something else other than a pencil through a card... any ideas?

I did the crayon hearts when my oldest was in pre-k

I'm making all of the kids in our Monday class book markers! I'm going to print them, laminate them, and then hole punch them to add a ribbon.

My daughter has some tinkerbell Valentine's that have a little thing to plant that grows into a flower!! So cute!

I really like these that I found.

my daughter's in first grade. i had bought a bunch of wooden rulers for a craft project i never ended up doing. so, instead, i am going to attach tags to each that say "you RULE, valentine!" and have my daughter write each kid's name on the back. i hate giving out candy too. lol.

i found the idea on pinterest. i also saw one where you give a little baggies with a bouncy ball and write on the tag "have a BALL this valentine's day!"

These were the ones we made for the girls.
