is it true...

That if you have a son it is gaurenteed that they won't want anything to do with their mommy, only daddy when they are 3 and up? Somebody said this to me today and now I'm all upset and dwelling over it! I know it sounds silly i just want our son to want to be around us equally!

No. But My son is 6 and I've noticed he wants his dad more and more now than he is a few years ago. They do man stuff together lol like fishing and building stuff with wood and tools in the garage.
But he still has his things he does with me too.

I was going to post the exact same thing, except DH is 25
I think it probably has to do with who spends the most time with the child.

My husband is almost 30 and loves his mother, he always has. I think little boys have a special place in their hearts for their moms, no worries.

Lol god no. Hubby is very close w his mom and was w his dad equally really. Kids go through stages where they prefer one parent over the other or even grandparents etc. just bc baby is one gender vs another doesn't mean they will only want this gender parent or not. Dd1 prefers hubby. Dd2 prefers me. Sometimes hubby can only comfort them and sometimes only I can.
