Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths. Remember Abeer? The 14-year-old Iraqi girl that was raped by 5 U.S. soldiers after watching her entire family be murdered?

Oh, and the Palestine-Israel conflict. U.S. funds the big guy even though they act unjustly.

So yeah, I don't think the U.S. needs to or should get involved. There's a lot of war crimes going on all over the world, this is just one of the few being exploited to create anti-Islam propaganda. Spoiler alert: Not all Muslims want to kill you for disbelieving.

Any Christian, mass genocides happening in modern history?

It's happening in many Islamic countries, as we speak.

If the roles were reversed and it was Christians mass murdering Muslims, where would your sympathies lie, I wonder.

Westboro Baptist church members don't murder people ...and they are the most hate-filled (Christian) people that I can think of.

Less than 20 years ago, Serbian forces performed ethnic cleansing on upwards of 200,000 Bosnian Muslims.

So, tit for tat?

People should just sit idly by and allow it to happen?

Not one person in this thread yet, expressed any sympathy...okay, one KINDA did.

The apathy is astounding.

I know. It's sooo sad. The only reason I didnt mention those is because most people i meet support the mass murders of iraqi, lebanenes the philistinis etc.
That poor girl though

I feel it's worth mentioning because the death tolls speak for themselves and too many people were marked off as collateral damage.

The point is being missed.

Replace "Muslims" with "white people" and then replace "catholics" with "black people".

There are people being slaughtered and everyone is just saying, "well, so and so did it too".

Take religion out of the equation for a second. Think OUTSIDE of WHO the article is pointing the finger at.

I think people in general are desensitized by issues that do not directly effect them. I know that I for one am far deeper touched by the injustices that have fallen on my people (Arab). Why? Because I have people in my family that have been directly effected by it. I see these horrible things that happen around the world, and it is tragic. It's terrible. But what can be done aside from feel bad for them and (if religious) pray for the scales of the universe to tip into the favor of the innocent. Does this mean that people are Islamofascist sympathizers? Hell no. It just means that we, in America, see kids being raped and left to die by neglected parents, people being killed in the inner cities by gang violence, economic issues that effect all of us, and America has far too many issues than to get into yet another country and try to "rebuild" society and institute a democracy. It failed miserably in Iraq and it would fail miserably in Smurfia. The majority of Iraqis hate the current president because he is corrupt and is doing the bidding of the also corrupt Iranian government, and most of us feel we were better off when Saddam was in power. We have issues in Iraq that we never had before, such as drugs. It's not apathy. It's realizing when there is nothing that can be done.

Sone crazy man trying to introduce some insane "bill" is FAR different than...oh....ROUNDING THE PEOPLE HE HATES, UP, TO BURN THEM ALIVE.

Um, yeah. COMPLETELY different.

Guantanamo. Bagram. Abu Ghraib. Same smurf, different coverup.

Religion isn't out of the equation, though. You're the one who is agreeing that Islam as a whole is inherently evil and Muslims are the only ones performing genocides and you seem to believe that it is strictly religiously motivated. That's what YOU are saying and it's the point that is being countered. You can't take something that is the entire point of the thread and debate as a whole out of the equation.
