My god where the hell are you fort Lewis? If so sorry I would move ( not that you have a choice) I had that experience at fort benning in base housing we were living in lower enlisted wich was fine with us be ause o cares right?!? But the cock roaches came and one day there was one crawling on my newborn son I gathered all of them for a few days and went and put them on the housing managers desk and said WE ARE MOVING. They ended up tearing that old ass house down

Count all those smurf mounds and take a picture and maybe they will bill them   smurfs!

It's crazy how some people live. I have 3 cats and I HATE the smell of cat piss. I have never had that problem in all the time I've had them. They were probably lazy and didn't change their litter box or didn't get them fixed. Gross!!

Hope the rest of the clean up goes quick and you can make your house a home!!

Yeah, we're at JBLM. It's funny that you post because you're in NC! We just came here from Bragg/Pope in June last year. I actually really smurfing miss Fayetteville right about now. Dude. This isn't even lower enlisted housing! Sigh. I would have flipped the hell out if I had seen a roach on my baby! That's so unbelievably gross! I'm glad you collected them all and put them on the desk at housing, haha.

It's even worse because it rains all.the.time so they're all soggy wet smurf mounds.  

Isn't it?! They had to have been really dirty people because the way they left that house and carpets... I couldn't imagine living like that.

I had cats (and dogs) growing up, all my life really, until I moved away to be with DH. Our house never smelled like cat piss because we cleaned the litter box every day. It was a chore my brother and I shared. I have never in my life smelled that much cat piss. And the smell is even worse in the garage. Almost like they went out of town and left them in the garage for a couple weeks or something. It's awful.

Thank you! They're putting in the new carpets right now. Should be done in a couple more hours. We're moving the rest of our things there tomorrow.

Any ideas on how I can get the cat piss smell out of the garage?

I know, right?! We put in a work order for them to come check the attic above Claire's room for mold because of the water damage and they NEVER CAME. Makes me wonder if they ever will. I feel bad for the people moving in here after us if this house has mold in it.  

So they're done replacing the carpets in the new house and they left an entire two story house full of cat piss carpet in the garage. I do hope they're going to come back and get it...

On a happier note, the new carpet is really soft and squishy.

Ugh, we move a lot too, pretty much every year and it's terrible when the old tenants don't take care of a place like they're supposed to. I'm so sorry, but you should definitely do what someone else suggested and take pictures. Why did you guy move in the first place, if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah, we are going to definitely take pictures.

We moved because we were initially on that waiting list. When we got here, they didn't have a house in that neighborhood available so we had to take what they had, which is the house we're currently in and moving from. The new house is bigger, two stories (which will be nice because DH is starting night shift and will need the separation from the children so he can sleep), and has a garage so DH will have a place to brew/keep his beer brewing equipment, and it's even closer to his work.

That's awful. I definitely see why you were so frustrated when you walked in... I probably would have cried myself. My husband would've been like, "Well, we can clean the carpets," or some other stupid smurf guys typically say but no, I would NOT live in a house that had been pissed all over and destroyed by cats and dogs. No way in hell, especially not with a toddler who's constantly on the floor.

We're about to move on base and I've seen photos of our house. It looks really nice but who knows when the photos were taken, lol. I'm just glad it's on the water so even if it needs work at least there's a pretty view.

I have no idea, cat piss has to be one of the most lethal things ever! lol I try natures miracle. Not sure if they have it in the states. But it'd basically just a smell neutralizer. I'm sure if you keep doing something like that over time it will eventually come out
