Seriously. I bought some bleach. I think I'm going to make a bleach mixture and pour it all over the concrete in there. But right now they have all of the cat piss carpets sitting in there. We went back over to see if they had come to get it and they still haven't. Maybe tomorrow.

I think men just don't realize how bad it would end up being and that "just cleaning it up" isn't going to do the trick after [probably] years of cat piss and god knows what else. Ripping it up and throwing down new carpet is the way to go.

I'm kind of disgusted anyone would let a house they don't even own get like that, you know? Surely they thought, "Oh, smurf, we're going to get fined for this in one way or another." Then again people are weird, especially in the military.

And thanks, I hope it's nice too. I just saw photos of it and it looks decent so I'm excited. I can't wait to paint it though. It's all white right now which bores the hell out of me. I also want to landscape the smurf out of the half acre it sits on.

I think you're right. I'm sure it was years worth of damage. I can't imagine it being a short term thing when it was that disgusting. Plus there were parts of the carpet that were just GONE like an animal (probably their dog) chewed up the carpet.

We're mostly moved in now. I love this house now that it has new carpet. DH was changing the baby on the floor this morning and was like "Can you imagine, if they hadn't replaced the carpet, I'd be changing him on one of the most disgusting parts of the floor..." The thought totally grosses me out.

YAY! I'm glad the pictures are nice! The pictures of this housing were really nice too. This is the newer housing, was built in 2008. Are you going to repaint the entire house or just certain rooms? I had thoughts of painting both kids rooms and our bedroom but I'm not sure I'm going to now.

And I will probably get the living room and master bedroom done first but we just found out we might be here for four years so if that happens then I might as well go ahead and paint the whole place. It's amazing how much a room changes when you paint it. White walls are just way too boring and clinical. Fortunately they're easy to paint over.
