Quoting Lucas'Mama:" I stopped swaddling at about 2 months, I had a velcro one and I'd wake up and he would have wrigged so ... [snip!] ... it. I also hear it can affect their growth or something if you do it for too long, puts pressure on their joints and stuff."
Quoting Trixie7678:" Oh yeah....there is a lot of talk of hip displasia these days due to swaddling for too long...good point."
Quoting Katie[Cheeks Momma]:" Swaddling LO? I recently transitioned him to sleeping on his back in the pack n play in my room. He ... [snip!] ... a sleep sack will make it harder for him to turn off of his back? Curious to hear your feelings and opinions on this. TIA!"We stopped swaddling at 5 months when they were consistently getting out of it during their sleep (including the velcro ones). We moved on to sleep sacks (with their arms out) and still use them now at almost 8 months. They can still roll on their sides and backs with them on quite easily. I just use it as a blanket for them really.

One of my girls always sleeps on her tummy. The other sleeps on her side or back.
