Say you started dating someone, Got really close and serious in the 6 months you have been dating and then they come out and say they have Stage 3 cancer.

Would you
A) Be pissed/hurt that they didn't tell you in the start but stick around.
B) Be pissed/hurt and leave
C) Not be bothered at all and continue on with them
D) Other


* This is something a friend is going through and has NO clue how to react.

They are serious as in living together.

I'd be a little upset at first because they hadn't been honest from the start. But I can understand why they'd do it. they may not have much time left and they want to enjoy spending time with someone before it ends. But in that same regard, it's very selfish, because now that person will have to deal with the loss once they're gone. I'd still stick around though. I think after 6 months, I wouldn't want that person to continue going through everything alone.

my friend actually starting dating someone a while ago and then like 2 weeks he found he had cancer adn he told her like right away and she stuck around and tried to make it work but they just couldnt

I don't think I would even be pissed. I'd be sad, but if I cared about this person there might not be time to get mad and I would want to spend as much time as possible with them. I could understand someone being upset over it though.

Well I think it's a smurfed up reason to leave someone. I would be extremely hurt but if you are living together and love someone, that shouldn't change your feelings towards them. It's understandable why he would keep it from her.

I'd be extremely hurt that they didn't tell me. It wouldn't make me leave then but I'd feel a little betrayed. We would need to have a serious conversation, there has to be a reason why they held that back.

I'd be a little upset but I could understand not coming and saying it right away, that must be really hard to tell somebody you love knowing they may leave you when you need them most. But my faith is strong and I'd stick it out and pray with them.

I wouldn't be angry, but just really sad that I had started this relationship and now I was going to loose them

I would be hurt and upset. If I was serious enough to be living with the guy I would be there for him.

I wouldn't be upset but I'd be hurt. I'd stay though.
