Hopefully it's easier for you in a controlled situation where it's not as traumatic. God luck sweetie you'll be fine.

I have had one vaginal delivery , two c-sections and will have a third c-section in June/July. They will give you a spinal anesthetic so you don't feel the surgery. They will have you either sit down and bend over or lay down and hold your knees. They will clean the area and put a drape over the area they will work in. They will give you a shot to numb the area where they are going to insert the spinal needle. To me this felt like a bee sting. Then they inserted the needle between the spinal space. It kinda felt like they were pushing their finger into my back. It felt like a lost of pressure but not painful. When it's time for the surgery they will ask you if you feel the small pokes they are giving you. They are making sure you are numb. The whole time they might ask you how you are doing. You might feel some pressure at times but no pain. I know it seems scary but the moment they show you your baby you forget everything they are doing. I loved the fact I could see my baby just seconds after it was born. It was also special for my husband because he was allowed to be there when our child was born. You will be able to hear you child's first cry and they bring the baby over for you to see before it is taken to the nursery. My husband was able to take a lot of pictures of the baby being cleaned and all the other stuff they do for new babies. Being scared is very normal . You will do fine and keep remembering all the extra stuff you will get to do , see and remember because you are awake.Good luck.

You'll be fine. I'm not going to lie I was so scared only because it was.soooo cold. I'm having my second c section in april, and I'm not worried because I know I'm in good hands. I love my doctor and the hospital isn't bad. Just remember to breathe.
