I used a ring sling with my son when he was born at first I tied it around my waist like a cinch or a belt to support him correctly as he was lost in the sling being worn the way it was intended as a sash over the shoulder ring sling
once he got bigger it was great because he could sit at my hip correctly with it tied in the sash style it was made for and he could lie down and sleep safely
I loved the sling but hated the fabric and the constant retying
so with this baby I figured I would look at mobys and originally I was confused because it kind of looked like a shirt almost and thought you just slipped it on and put baby in it...well turns out its not like that at all but is instead even more fabric that is just tied on a certain way and like the ring sling something I could make at home if I so choose but it looked like it would be even worse about the problem of fabric and retying .....so I looked at other wraps and carriers and of course reviews for moby are still pretty dang high so I am wondering if I misunderstood it or just need to stick with the familar and not all the crazy options out there...I was told to try a carrier like ergo and such but I am really not crazy about them and baby positioning with it along with it even tho it does solve the issue of constantly tying it on you just slide it on like a back pack and snap the straps insert baby wondering if anyone had an opinion on the moby here and experience such as mine

I loved my Moby and plan on using it agian with the new baby! It does need to be tied each time you use it but if your going to the store for instance you can tie if before you leave so that when you get to the store you can just put the baby in and go. It's allot of fabric to deal with but once you learn the different ties its super simple. If you didn't like the tieing with the ring sling you might want to try out some other carriers like the ergo or front packs that need no extra tieing.

So you could tie it on and go about your day and not have to readjust it if you got in and out of the car that was my issue I was on the go alot and I loved the sling more than his baby carrier and his stroller but unless LO was in the sling no way I could sit in the car and drive and get out and just put him in it you had to adjust it every time or just retie it and the moby like I said looks almost like a shirt to me so you could leave it on get in and out of the car and put baby in it without having to retie it all time? if so its a win cause thats my biggest issue right there with the retying once you learn the ways to tie any sling it gets great I just cant stand ergos idk I feel like I am just putting my kid in a backpack I am sure they are great just not a fan of them idk I like feeling my baby in a sling more than I do when I am pregnant lol

You might have to adjust it every time but you won't have to undo the entire thing each time. The fabric does stretch and will losen up over time so you'll have to adjust it but I have been able to do this with my kids in the wrap . You should watch some you tube videos of people using the Moby so you. Can get an idea of how it goes on before you decide.

Do you have one video you prefer I tried looking earlier but when it comes to vids I have a hard time finding normal ones I think its because my husband ruined my search history by taking my comp overseas lol so now all that I find are wierd songs on youtube and things pandas sneezing and such when I look up a normal phrase

thank you ...I have cut and made up moby wraps for people before because its cheaper its just a really long strip of fabric but I like how you describe it and whats four dollars in fabric to try it out if I can find some vids on it would be awesome to see if its something I can learn and will work out I am excited to see if this will be perfect before the sling so I wont have to constantly be retying my kid to me if this one is in it long term like my son did I swear I spent more time with him in his sling than when I was pregnant and I loved it so much and hope this child is like that especially since its trying to come early so another preemie means itll be hard to find slings and such that work with it and fit and my baby will need that closeness
