Natural miscarriage or...

Should i get a d&c? I have a blighted ovum, just a sac. I have had bleeding for about a week now, and blighted ovum was diagnosed on friday, confirmed on tuesday. My levels on last wednesday were 14200 and on friday were 15000. Yesterday i had my levels checked again and i am still waiting to hear back from the doctor. If they go down only a little my doc wants to do a d&c, where as i would prefer to wait it out, as long as my levels were going down. My bleeding has been gettig heavier but i havent really had cramps. Only dull ones last night when i was going to bed. I have passed a few little clots over the last week. What do you all suggest?
Also she gave me an option of a d&c or a pill that helps the uterus cramp, which of these would you choose if you had to?

I've miscarried 5 times. Some were very long processes (5-6 weeks. From the time baby stopped growing til I fully miscarried).
I've gone natural EVERY time and never had an issue with retained placenta, etc.

If I were in that situation, I'd definitely try the pill first.

Did you have cramping throughout the whole miscarriage or just at certain times? Ever since the dull cramps last night my bleeding has gotten a little heavier.

Sometimes miscarriages take a while. Unless you have retained placenta you do not need a d&c. Some women, after knowing for sure they are having a miscarriage, exercise rigorously and that helps get things started. I have miscarried and was told that I should have a d&c, but when I questioned the doc if I actually needed one he said no, it's just routine. (He was a very nice doctor).

Once cramping started it was usually 2-3 days at most. Things still getting stronger?
