posted 31st Jan
I have about 8 of these to sell. $18 shipped. Will come with a jump right for you to put on your keychain. Would anyone be interested?

I am really going to try to put this nicely. I went online to find the average pricing.
Found the same style with a little prettier engraving for 2.62 on a website and etsy for around 6

Quoting Salad Fingers:" $18 EACH? For a bottle opener?"

It's a custom made opener. This is what it looks like when it's not engraved.

They were 2.50 for each piece. Then I have to buy the jump rings to enable someone to hook it on a key chain. I have to stamp it.

Some of the people in my stamping group charge 10+ a hour to stamp

I just went onto Etsy and found the cheapest with the same amount of engraving for 16.00 PLUS 3.00 shipping.

Pretty yes all straight and smurf. But the purpose of this looking side ways is because it goes with the saying

Please post the website where it's 2.62 because you cant even buy the bottle opener for a little cheaper.

I get that it's custom made and all, and I'm not trying to be rude because I fully support buying from the little guys and whatnot. But I just can't fathom why you would price it so high.

Like, here's a really cool zombie bottle opener on Amazon for $20-free shipping.

I don't know, maybe I just don't know the going rate for bottle openers lol, but to me, it's something you pick up real cheap.

Also, I found one on eBay for $7.95 with free personalized engraving - your choice of font.

That is really awesome. I love that. My in laws might think I am a weirdo.

With stamping it takes alot of time and patience. Our supplies are pretty expensive unless you buy the cheap stuff. Our stamps alone can range from 30-500 per A-Z stamps. For either upper or lower. So one of our sets can run us almost 100 bucks for upper case and lower case. Depending on whcih brand we use they can get ruined. So we have to take that into effect also. It's so much to know and learn about stamping once you fully know everything behind it then you would totally get the pricing.

I guess having machine-made things have just ruined certain crafts. Before I looked at your etsy link I never imagined that they would be so pricey. I get then why you are charging $18, and I hope I didn't come across as rude.

That one is 14.65 shipped. With limited space to engrave. With some restrictions
Can be engraved with two lines of text, up to 12 characters per line.

So it really all depends. This is why stamping is so complicated.

Oh and regarding the cheap part. I've had tons of bottle openers in my house. One from Spec's that was a chick and you open the bottle with her boobs and it broke the first time. Worst 19.99 I spent in my life.

For someone like my sister who manages a bar she would appreciate it. And totally spend the money. I guess it's just something you have to like.

That wasn't my etsy. It was just one I googled. LOL
But yes the machine made ones do ruin it for us. But it's relaxing for me to do it. Plus it makes great gifts. LOL

No not rude. Alot of people do not understand the whole factor behind engraving until they have reseached it. I've so far spent about 300 on my supplies and I am no where near to what I would like to have. I have so much more stuff to get. Charms, birthstone's, etc.

I didn't mean 'your' as in the products are yours, I just meant that you were the one who linked it, lol.
