Hello. I need to find both alternative and evidence based therapies for children. Any therapy for any psychological/neurological disorders. Please specify if it's an alternative practice or evidence based practice.

I personally enjoy looking up the ones for autism, ASD, and/or pervasive developmental disorders, whatever you want to call it.

Please submit a brief summary of the scholarly article you find in a peer reviewed journal, and a link to the full PDF. You may also email the full PDF to me if you like!

Or just simply share cool stuff you find, and I'll investigate further.

I can tell u about him...

He does group therapy, 1xs a week with a few other adhd kids...
Then he does therapy by himself where she talks to him about his feelings and he explains how things happend during week, his good days, meltdowns, any times he was defiant, ect

He is on adderal 5mg q-day...

It has helped him improve about 80% off the time...
He went from 3 hours to do homework, to 20 mins...

I have him log his own behaviour in his tablet, so he sees, hes in control of his behaviour, and attitude... he can choose to have good day or bad day, with the decisions he makes...
When he has a few good days in a row it helps with the self confidence issue the odd brings up. Part of his 504 plan is that he is given chance to tutor his classmates, so he can build up confidence and stays engaged in the lessons.
He has to be given a daily outline of how the day is going to go because he can't handle transitions, so if he knows something else is going to have to happen, we have to give him heads up,
Like *dean in 10 mins were leaving, 5 mins start putting ur stuff away, then I have to tell him ok put ur stuff away were leaving in 5 mins, he's ok...
If u tell him * come on dean let's go all of a sudden its a huge trigger for him...
