re: bm intake and delaying solids

He wont unless he is asleep, every so often I can get hin to latch but we have to be laying down together or else he screams until I give him a bottle. He started the bottle when I went back to work and been like this sense.   im starting a new job in two weeks were I can take him so im hoping we can work in it and cut out bottles again

Thanks! I dont have anyone around me that supports breastfeeding or delay solids so its nice to get info and support

oh that's good. most people don't know that. I actually heard it from my mom. I didn't believe her at first, but I did my own research and found that it's true for some babies. So with my first son, we didn't introduce solids until 12m. With my 2nd son, he "demanded" food earlier, and would literally grab stuff off of our plate (as well as showing all the signs of readiness of course), so we let him start trying little things at about 8m, but we are doing "baby led weaning" so he has to be able to feed himself. no purees or "baby food".

We don't go there often even though they live right down the road, he still doesn't get get the hint of why he doesn't see his Grandson more often! smh...I swear some people are just STUPID! I've even commented things like "are you gonna come take care of him later when he has an upset stomach from that?" or "are you gonna come hold him down and brush his teeth after giving him all that sugar?" He just ignores me usually! He thinks because his dad did stuff like that with SO that it's ok to do it to OUR child! He's actually part of the reason we failed at BFing!!! He would go get my son out of his crib when he would cry and play with him until he was nonstop crying before he would come get me to feed him (we lived there the first 6 months of LO's life) I only EBFd for the first month, then had to supplement formula because he wasn't gaining weight and only continued BF til he was 3 months   Of course that was also the reason we started cosleeping (so I knew when he woke up because our room had 0 space for anything other than our bed) Anyway, sorry for the mini vents lol
