I also unsub as a way of saying "I am not interested in what any single person could possibly have to say as of this moment."

I rarely do,mainly because i forget. I do have alot of threads i need to unsub from though.

Second, I rarely unsub. Every now and then if something is really rubbing me the wrong way and I'm having a hard time biting my tongue, I'll unsub so I don't say something I'll regret. That isn't often though.

If it's just some random question like "when did your child start walking" i'll answer it and then un-sub. If it's another thread, i'll keep reading and replying if i'm interested and have time. If not, i'll try to catch up the next time I get online, if I can't catch up I just un-sub or leave it be.

I usually don't, but sometimes get annoyed if it's a dead thread and people just keep beating on it.

i unsub from everything right away, minus my chats.

only when i'm bored.

or really irritated, but usually that never happens.

I usually unsub if I've already made my point to the thread's topic and/or people are just using it to chat about random irrelevant stuff.
