That was awesome! Though trying to keep up with her these days is helping with that. Lol

the first few weeks were perfect. almost, nurses forced formula but the first few days were just beautiful.

he was four weeks preemie. my sons pedi later told me that I should have kept bfing him, that he would have gained the weight no problem, but I was so pressured by the nurses in the hospital. my son was in there for a week because of jaundice so it was constantly, give him formula! supplement! I was so tired and exhausted I finally caved in.

Then I had to go back to work two weeks after I gave birth, just a week after getting home, so I really had a horrible start, and never got to get my milk off to a good start.

I'm sorry you had such a terrible time. My DD was in the NICU for 4 days, she had inhaled fluid. Also was jaundice. Her first feeding was formula an I was scared my bfing days were over before they began. I was lucky though. The hospital I had my DD I was amazing. Pushed me to pump and breastfeed when I was able too. I think it's sad that the nurses didn't help you and support you. You would think in this day and age they would support any woman who wants to bf their child.

yeah. this time around I am determined and I know enough to know to push my way through to bf if need be. only one hospital around here, so I cant switch hospitals. just have to be strong willed.

Thank you! My husband and I are in school so I am really hoping with loans I wont have to go back to work right away again. *fingers crossed*
