Activities for infants/toddlers

Do any of you ladies take any classes with your kids? Like Mommy&Me classes or anything else. If so what ages are they and what do you do with them? I've been looking into starting swimming this summer since my son will be 7 months old.

We do play dates as well along with having "Mommy days" when Daddy works the late shifts. We will be enrolling in swimming lessons when the spring classes open.

Our City's pool does swimming lessons and they have a 2 week program for 6m-2yr olds. I think it's like $35. I'm excited for it   I would love to have more play dates but I just moved here from Fl so I know NOBODY. It's so sad. Hopefully DS will make some friends in swimming though.

Is that expensive? I was thinking about some gymnastics class, but I wasn't sure if it started that young. I'll check it out though. Thanks!

I need to look into that and see if they have anything around here. They have an amazing app for the iPhone to help with sign language called smart hands. I have been using that with DD and it has helped us (mostly me at this point) learn to sign.

I have done play groups but the other parents bug me lol so I stopped going. Lol I am planning on going back when DD is walking lol

Sign language would be fun. My Cousin's DD signs and it's amazing how young they can master that. I'll definitely be downloading that. Thanks!

We have a program here called ECFE (early childhood family education). We take a class every monday with both our kids. The class is birth to kindergarden. It starts with open playtime/crafts, then circle time, then the parents leave the room to have a discussion about parenting stuff while the kids have a snack and play.
I'd look to see if your town has community programs like that. There's also swimming lessons, sports ect. Ages vary depending on what it is.

Haha, I'm dying for some adult interaction. I'm sure it gets old quick though.. It's just been the nastiest winter here, so I've been stuck in the house. I'm desperate!

I wish we had something like that in Ohio. I have taken DD swimming a couple of times at the Y but we have never taken classes together. I know they have mommy and me dance classes. I think (around here) they are two and up. I look forward to them.
