natural sleep aides

I've been researching them for my 2 year old...the number one thing I see is a routine but right now with my school schedule I don't get home till almost 9pm 3 nights a week and with having to be up ready and out the door by 730 the next morning I'm not able to have the routine 7 days a week....I saw the camomile and lavender recommendations and wanted to know which ones work best...I feel like a bad mom for even considering this but I'm only 3 weeks in and I can already see how it taking me over and hour and a half to get her in bed and calmed down is having a negative effect on my studies...and seeing as how the classes I am taking make the difference between me being able to continue into Nursing and not, I'm a little stressed about it. Any recommendations MUST be natural, something I will be able to find at my local herbal store

I'm wondering if they make a type of melatonin for kids. It's worth a shot to google.
Best wishes!

I am sorry to say this BUT, she comes first. You have to get her on the routine before you worry about yourself. Quite honestly, you might have to have someone watch her in the home so she is in bed by a decent time. You will have to make sacrifices for her. There is no exception to the rule. Sorry but, she is number 1. Even though this education will benifit you both in the long run, you can't be trying to drug yoru child so you can accomplish what you want or need.

Yikes! I didn't even take any time except to read her first sentence! (stupid me!)
Good advice, NT!

Did you read the "natural" part? Stupid bitch. Obviously I should just let my child grow up poor and on welfare, that sounds like a great idea.
The recommendations I was looking at were oils that you rub on their feet. That is not "drugging" my child. That is using natural things, from the earth, to help sooth her and calm her down.

Really?? Lol
Teething Tablets are all natural and kids were dying from overdose on those. That is why they were pulled from the market for a while.
All natural or not, drugging your child is drugging your child. Especially since there is NO medical need!!
You are now talking about rubbing her feet when that is not what your original post said. I copied it so you couldn't change it.
You are worried about her growing up on welfare? Shouldn't have been playing house when you couldn't support yourself. Like that? Clearly if you bothered to read what I said rather than getting your panties in a twist, I supported your decision and offered an alternate idea for your late nights. Although, the more you post and this cute little response of yours leads me to believe that you are pretty self centered. I wouldn't dream of drugging my child (natural or otherwise) so I could be accommodated. I have had many sleepless nights as a mother. I have twins and a toddler. When the twins were babies I don't know how many nights I was up with feedings or sick babies and still went to work the next morning. It is called parenthood. DEAL WITH IT!!!!

Just a quick bit of info regarding 'natural' products. The term 'natural' is an unregulated term, unlike 'organic', which has to go through many hoops to have any type of label to it if it claims it is non-GMO, etc.
Lesson learned, just because something says all-natural doesn't mean it has been approved as such.

Nope! Lol defense mechanism is to call names right away. You know, makes them "appear" cooler and right. If it makes them feel better. I don't loose sleep. Lol

Dont worry about these dumb/uneducated people. I am in the same boat as you, I was taking my pre-reqs last semester for nursing and went through the same thing. The only thing I found that helped was taking LO a nice warm bath before bed and I would stay with her in the room till she fell asleep, and at the same time I would be studying. I know its kind of spoiling her but I rather do it this way and get her to sleep in 20 mins instead of letting her fuss for an hour.
Oh and I would have pandora on, the lullaby station.

Excuse YOU! Nice ASSumption. Guess you can't read. She asked for medications not tips that you provided. You probably should have bothered to read the full thread. Moron.
