Baby has gas

I feel like my one month old has a belly ache from the gas he's had...he seems so fussy today, and gas drops are not helping! Doctor says its normal for him to pass a lot of gas, but what are some things I can do to try and ease his pain...and he gets formula and breast milk.. Do you think alternating between the two could make his stomach more upset?

probably. Try taking his knees slightly up to his chest. Keep doing it for a minute. It might help work out the gas.

Sit down, lay him tummy down over your legs and pat his back or rub to get the gas moving around.

gripe water

Never heard of gripe water?

I just put him in his vibrating chair and he's more calm..went to sleep.

my son has the same problem, and im also both breastfeeding and doing formula. still trying to figure out what is causing the gas..or if its just colic. but i totally agree with the gripe water. its done wonders for us, but hes all the sudden be more fussy tonight then on most days. hes had more breast milk today then he has in the past few days.

Gripe water is sold at walgreens , walmart etc. It seems to help my dd out, soithes her. It makes her burp right away.

My baby hasn't really had breast milk today he had some yesterday or the day before, but his gas is soooo bad! And extremely smelly..he's been more fussy today..which is so odd because he didnt have breast milk today...I don't know what gripe water is, but I'm going to google it lol...and eventually try it out!

it sounds like the formula might be too harsh. what kind do you use? we use enfamil infant, but are thinking about trying gentlease or prosobee. our little guy has reallly stinky farts sometimes too   its like a grown man made them.

We use Gerber good start- gentle.
Yes that's exactly how it is!! Grown man farts!
