Kissing on the lips was originally known as the Mothers Kiss. It was perfectly normal to kiss your father, mother, sisters, brothers, etc on the mouth.

Same here, and I always looked at BD like he was out of his mind for kissing everyone. I hug them now, but still don't kiss them.

I agree... When I kiss even SO on the lips (like how I would DD) it's not sexual, it's more of a caring gesture I feel.

I never hug my mom   But she's a raging bitch  . My dad grew up in a house with 4 women his whole life. The whole side of his family is upper affectionate. Like you said, its just the way I was raised.

I always feel weird when I go to my SO's baseball games because most of the baseball wives greet each other with a kiss on the cheek. Instead, I'm just standing there waving like "oh, hi!" Lol

I'm 27 and I kiss my mom dad and sisters on the lips as well as my daughter. I dont think its weird at all. It's not sexual. We're family and we love each other. I'm not slipping them to tongue. That would be weird.

I remember once when I was like 18, my boyfriend had just left and I went to kiss my mom goodbye and I was talking at the same time when she kissed me, and my mouth was open. Oh. My. God. I wanted to DIE!

Honestly....I find it weird. Maybe its a cultural thing...Im Hispanic and I dont know any hispanics who do that.
