Quoting ~~My Pet Wussy~~:" I've never kissed my mom on her lips, or my dad, or my brother... Now that is weird smurf."

I didn't grow up that way either, and my sister doesn't allow my nephew to kiss her on the mouth, never has.
But BD is Puerto Rican and all of his family is very affectionate, hugs & kisses all around lol so I learned to go along with it.
My kids have grown up with it, so I can't see myself ever telling them no they can't kiss me - when they stop is when I will.

!!!!

My son is 4moths old and I think he hates me bc I can't stop kissing him all over the place! Sometimes he thinks its so funny, like when I kiss him on the knee?? But today he would just pull the smurf out of my hair (that was pulled back making it worse!)

True. It would be awkward as hell if I saw someone do this with their kid lol.

I still do and my son is 5.
However, when I was a teen, I did think it was weird when I saw my friends do it to their parents.
I'll stop once LO doesn't want me to anymore.

I kiss my boys on the lips in public all the time. I also kiss my big sister on the lips... she turned 13 the day after I was born so she was kind of like a second mother to me. My parents were never ones to show affection like that though.

I was never kissed by family members as a child so it was always very weird to me. But after having my babies always wanting to give me smooches I just find it cute now. My 5 year old still kisses me on the lips. Generally I kiss my kids on the forhead though when im in public. I save lip kisses for them to initiate.

Me either. My niece and nephew used to kiss me on the lips too. I'm not a very touchy feely person anymore though. I can't remember the last time I gave my dad a kiss, or a hug. I never hug my mom, haven't kissed her in YEARS. The kids stopped kissing me goodbye in the last year or so. That's just the way our family is. Some are like that, some aren't. It's all in how you're raised.

I feel the same way. my husband is 21 and he still kisses his mom and dad on the lips when he is leaving their house, I never kissed my parents on the lips though, as far as I remember anyways.
I kiss my daughter on the lips and I only try to give her pecks all over her face, she sticks her tongue in my mouth and licks my cheeks...shes not even a year old though and its cute as could be, not sexual in the least bit so I don't see a problem with it...she did come into this world through my vagina not even a year ago after all lol

I do, but they're still little. My oldest is 2 years and my baby is 13 months. If anyone thinks it's weird that I kiss my toddlers on the lips, well then...I'm not the one with the problem. Some people think it's weird to breast feed a 2 year old. I personally wouldn't breast feed past 1 year old. But I'm not going to say someone is weird for doing it! It's really none of my business! So to answer the poll question...YES I kiss my babies on the lips in public or where ever we happen to be...I will probably stop by the time they get to school age.

An, that reminds me. When I first met my exs family, they all thought I was a huge bitch bc (among the many reasons) I didn't kiss them in the cheek when I greeted them. Eh, no... I still don't do that. I just can't. It's weird.
