Ground turkey, good or bad?
posted 30th Jan
So this meat was moved from the freezer to the fridge at most a week ago (I think I'm being pretty liberal with that and it was more like Saturday, but a lot of smurf happened and I just have no idea). It's use or freeze by date is February 1st.
Should it be okay to eat still? And how do I know if it's not? Smell it?

My mum always told me that when you take meat out of the freezer, you cook it the day it defrosts. No waiting. You wait a day, throw it out. My mum is also ... A bit weird about that kind of thing so she might be wrong. I just don't like to risk it.

I wait a maximum of two days before I just toss it. I'm very weird about meat coming out of the freezer.

Throw it out. 2days from frozen. Not sell by date

I would toss it.
If I take something out of the freezer into the fridge on Saturday Morning, if I don't cook it by Monday, it's gone.

Thanks all. I wasn't sure if freezing it would have an impact. I hardly ever take things out of the freezer unless I'm going to use them that day or the next so I've never needed to know. But landing in the hospital kind of upset my plans of making the turkey burgers I really wanted.
