No, but in one of your first posts you said its only for babies and toddlers. I just wanted to throw in the difference. Jas already discussed it with you in detail lol so I'm not really getting into it.

That was a general statement.
I never said it was harmful.

Sure. My older kids have fond memories of our nursing days and see me nursing their younger siblings all the time. I'm actually kinda surprised my oldest never asked to taste it. My second did when she was about 6 and she said it didn't taste like she remembered, and she's never so much as asked about it again.

In many other world cultures, especially those centered around pastoral life, breastmilk is not just a drink for babies and toddlers. I've read many accounts of it being a kind of drink of honor for wise and respected members of a community, as well as something given to the sick, weak and elderly. I'm also pretty sure that if anyone here were in a famine situation, they'd damn well express breastmilk if you had it to keep an older child alive, as many mothers have had to do throughout time and still have to today in many places.

Sure. I already pump for my three year old. I do it for any of my family at any age. Breast(milk) is best for everyone.

Quoting **mummyX2.5**:" i let my two year old taste my BM when my second was first born... the second it touched her tongue she ... [snip!] ... the entire contents of her stomach onto the carpet lol to avoid that situation with 9 year old kids spew im going to say no "

I breastfeed by two year old. ;)

And yes I'd pump, assuming I had the supply for it, for anyone...seriously. I wouldn't do it to fulfill some fetish, but it does wonders for a sore throat, it's a great immune system booster if you are sick or fighting illness or have a suppressed immune system. I absolutely would pump for an adult with HIV or chemo. And yes - I have let others taste it if they wanted - pumped milk of course. Who cares? I've gargled with it. I figure if I can spend my days swallowing my own spit....then how is breastmilk gross? I think spit is disgusting. Boogers too & don't get me started on ear wax...but breastmilk is the cleanest & least gross thing that goes on in this house overrun by boys. (I have two & watch a few others)

Sure, why not? It'd be one of those things. It might not taste good and it'd be like curiosity killed the cat. My oldest had breast milk at 5 because she was curious about it, and it was some time after I had the baby I put up for adoption, so I was trying to get rid of it. She didn't seem to like it so it kinda killed her curiosity about it lol.

I've personally tasted it because I wanted to make sure it wasn't like bad after defrosting it for my youngest before, it doesn't taste too bad to me. Kinda reminds me of the melted ice cream you get on the bottom of a bowl after eating vanilla ice cream in flavor.

Yes, of course I would. I would much rather them have milk made for humans then milk made for cows.

Yup. I have no issues with it, and anyone that does, I wonder why they drink cows milk and not human. We are not cows.

(But I do know that cows milk is okay too, but that shouldn't be "normal" while human milk is not)
