Well go back and read.
Weaning has nothing to do with the infinite benefits of breast milk regardless of age. It is NOT just for babies and toddlers. We wean our young because well, I don't want a big ass kid sucking on my tit. Not because the benefits are no longer there.

You didn't debunk it.
I'm a big proponent of breast-feeding for obvious reasons. It does not have benefits for older kids. We wean for natural reasons.
If you can find me something that says there are benefits for a 9 yr old getting BM over something not provided by his mother, THAT would debunk my assertion that breast milk is for babies and toddlers.

Go read a book, seriously. If a 9 year old is sick, breast milk couldn't benefit them? It doesn't benefit cancer patients? Athletes? People with arthritis, diabetes (as one post clearly said), even acne? I could go on and on. You are clueless if you seriously think that breast milk all of a sudden stops becoming beneficial just because of your age.

This isn't just about some hypothetical 9 year old kid.   Come on. I debunked your bullsmurf theory that breast milk is only for toddlers and babies. Its. Not. True. I don't know why I keep on repeating myself to you, I feel like a broken record.

Breast milk is beneficial to anyone, regardless of age. There would be no negative consequence to giving a 9 year old a cup of breastmilk.

BreastFEEDING on the other hand, may be a different story. Not enough research has been done on kids who have been breastfed past toddlerhood because this is a new phenomenon. No one knows the psychological issues that may arise in a 9 year old breastfeeding so that is probably why we wean.

IMO, breastfeeding is for babies and toddlers. Breast milk is for anyone.

I've read a lot of books on the topic. My degree is in clinical nutrition and I was a pediatric nutritionist for ~5 years.
The topic wasn't about a sick 9 yr old.
You are grasping for straws and getting nasty while doing so.

I didn't address you about the topic. I addressed you about your false statement. Again, you stated that breast milk is only for toddlers and babies. If you're an educated nutritionist, you would know that it wasn't true. Again, I am repeating myself. Brick wall.

You're dancing around in circles. Don't get too dizzy.

Breast milk is for babies and young toddlers.
I wouldn't do it for my 9 yr old anymore than for my 19 yr old.

I was making a general statement without an asterisk for exceptions. There may be conditions for which breast milk helps.

You are the the one being ridiculous by saying that my statement about not giving it to my healthy 9 yr old is ignoring facts.

But, since you backed yourself into a corner, go ahead and be nasty.

Backed myself into a corner? Please. And I am not being nasty, Sensitive Susy. How about we agree to disagree here because I am seriously tired of repeating myself to you.

Absolutely. I'd rather my kid drink that vs. milk that has all of that blood and puss in it. ;-P

I'd rather debate, but if you'd rather agree to disagree that is fine.
