Quoting kthx.:" -dies-   Shooo, milk is like $2.50 for a gallon here!"

Damn! It's ridiculous cos quite a lot of milk from around the world comes from right here in NZ. Yet NZ tends to pay more money than the people overseas. WTF

Well I don't plan on letting my 9 year old order things online so I guess I won't have to worry about that.

I just don't see the problem. Besides buying it online... that's weird. And I don't know if the smurf is clean or not. But I just don't understand the taboo around breast milk. We drink from the teet of a cow, FFS. Yet it's unheard of for someone out of the infant/toddler stage to drink milk that is made for them?

I'll probably get smurf for this but when I was breastfeeding my first I would sometimes pump a bit extra to give my SO to try and boost his immune system (he's a type 1 diabetic). He told me I could give it to him as long as I didn't tell him when I gave it to him.

Why would you get smurf for that? That's great. I've squirted breast milk up my husband's clogged nose several times. Breast milk is good for you and there's nothing disgusting/weird about someone drinking it.

Then why do we have lactase?
Why do other mammals wean their young?

That's what floors me. "Ewww you're 9 and drinking your mom's breast milk."
Yet, no one bats a lash when that same 9 year old kid is drinking some random cow's breast milk.

No, but what if they asked you for some of your all natural, human milk?

I have also squirted breast milk in my SOs eyes when he had conjuctivitis, as well as my 3 year olds.
Smurf's like a smurfing super drug man. Cures everything. SO said he likes the fact I'm still breastfeeding cos if another big earthquake happens, at least there's still a food source.

Wean their young from directly nursing, just as humans do. However, can animals go pump their tits and pour their milk in a cup as humans can? Come on, big difference.
