WHY?!?!

So I called my insurance company today to find out some information so I can get to a chiropractor. Well I have a $750 deductible to meet before they will cover anything. The closest chiropractor wants $150 the first visit( insurance covers 0%) then $67 after that. If I decide not to file with insurance I still have to pay the $150 first visit because they have to do xrays and all that, but it's only $50 a visit after that. Wth is the point of having my insurance if I still have to pay the entire amount? I can't afford that smurf right now so I pretty much have to stay in pain until DH starts making money again.

This is lovely, today I could not bend, sit, or lay down without hurting. If I picked up DD or DS it hurt so bad I felt like puking and I could not lift a 10 pound bag of sugar off the kitchen floor while I was putting groceries away. Plus the last two toes on my right foot keep going numb as do my ring and pinky finger on my right hand...

Im over this smurf, I am going to start calling around to different chiropractors tomorrow along with the insurance company yet again so I can get the information I need to go see an eye doctor and dentist. Got to start taking a lot better care of myself.

Most insurance companies dont cover chiro's though from what I've heard.

Lol. You think that is bad. I had smurffy walmart insurance and the deductible was smurfing $6,500. The only reason I had is was for a severe emergency and preventative care.

Thats expensive! My chiropractor charges $50 first visit and $38 after that

most of them do, and her's would if she meet the 750.... Medicaid covers them...


Mine charges 47 but we already had MRI's

my mom had it but it was 500 depends on the plan u have now its 750 or 1000

I wish mine was that. To even get it down to a 3500 deductible you had to pay about 450 a month and that was just to have one person on that plan.

Wow that is crazy! Insurance companies are a bunch of crooks! You have to pay your monthly premiums but they dont cover anything until you meet ridiculous deadlines! I was thinking about dropping my insurance and getting medicaid. I need to get somewhere.

I am going to try and shop around for a good chiro tomorrow, Ive got to do something I cant take this much longer before I break and go to the er. I try to avoid it because its not an absolute emergency but smurf I cant play with my kids or pick them up without hurting or feeling like Im going to puke. Of course I still try because I dont like to let my oldest see me hurting she understands that something is not right and she looks so sad when I am hurting.
