Help me learn to knit!

Please?!? I just about have "casting on" figured out but can't switch it to make rows. Help!

but seriously it's pretty easy. You just go back and forth. Once you've cast on, pick up where your yarn is and work across that row.

Ok so I get a great cast on the somehow it looks like crap when I try to make a row. This is pissing me off :-/

Did you look at the video. And just practice practice.

All my rows looked funky for a while too before I really got the hang of it.

Yeah I am giving up for the night(been at it since lunch) and you to try again tomorrow. Lol

I figured it out! It still looks pretty smurffy but I at least know what I am doing! I am going to only do knit stitch for now then once I am comfortable with that I will incorporate the purl stitch :-)

The purl stitch for me was harder to learn.

It took me a while to figure out it was so easy and I was able to teach myself just by watching myself do the knit stitches.

I learned knitting from my grandma who was from Italy, so I was only taught to cast on and to knit back and forth for like forever. I had to teach myself the rest.
