No, not that I can say. I don't waste my time concerning myself with what other people are doing with their lives. It's not up to me to concern myself. It's not my right. Having an opinion is fine. Believing that others are wrong, beneath you, or trying to force your opinion on others is "telling others how to live," in my humble opinion.

And that's your opinion. You're entitled to it.

But saying "you shouldn't circumcise your child" is telling someone else how to live and how to make decisions. Read the sentence. "You should not do this." When you speak to your children and you tell them not to do something, you are telling them what to do and what not to do.

I believe if a mother wants to circumcise, that's her choice. Not mine. It's not my child. I wouldn't tell a woman not to dress her son in pink, I'm not going to tell a woman not to formula feed her child, I'm not going to tell a woman not let her son play on the jungle gym at the park. It's not my business.

Being anti something is not at all believing others are wrong or beneath you or forcing your opinion on someone. I'm anti circumcision. I don't believe those who circ are beneath me or are wrong. Circumcision is just something I wouldn't choose for my future son(s). I don't shove that down anyone's throat, nor do I belittle others for circing.

I'm not "anti" anything. I don't worry about things that have nothing to do with me or my business, unless I can physically see it harming someone else. Then, I will attempt to intervene.

Anti-drinking and driving?

There are some things that should be other people's business. Going by bbbt's example - child abuse. Pretty much everyone is anti-child abuse. If they weren't and had to "mind their own business" think of how many children would be getting abused with nothing being done about it.

I don't think it's really that big of a deal, it's just kind of silly to say you're anti-being-anti-against-anything.

It's no one else's business if you're anti something. You're equating having an opinion to believing you're better than those who have differing opinions.

Well, of course. Like I said....That's a bit extreme. Do people really pride themselves on being anti-child abuse or anti-rape? Most of the people who are "anti" something, (the ones I have encountered) are anti-something-that-has-to-do-with-something-that-is-none-of-their-business.

For example- gay marriage, gays adopting children, abortion, legalization of marijuana, etc.

Because those rights are not established yet. Once upon a time the anti-rape and anti-abuse protesters stood up for what they believed in so now we have laws against it. But anti-abortion let's say - it's still up for debate so to speak, so people are more upfront about it. It's also more controversial.

Yes and it's annoying. Honestly, I think it makes people feel powerful and gives a sense of identity to be "pro or anti" anything. In my normal everyday life the only people I come into contact who act like that are my junior high students....and BG people.

This was one of those things you post because it's cute and have no anticipation that people will make a debate out of it, and it just gets obnoxious.

Everyone is anti-something but lets all be honest, she meant those obnoxious people that are all NO MEAT FOR ANYONE DAMN YOU! NO VACCINATIONS FOR ANYONE ITS POISON! NO GUNS THEY KILL!

Which i agree with, those people are obnoxious and need muzzles.
