Watching friends daughter, too scared to sleep. Please help!
posted 30th Jan
I'm watching a friends 3 year old while she works, she gets picked up at 4am. She won't sleep unless I sit in the chair in my daughters room. If she wakes up and I'm not in there, she panicks and won't fall back asleep. Apparently my friend has the same problem at home though... She will only sleep on the couch, which isn't feasible here because its downstairs and I'm upstairs...
Suggestions? Thoughts? I need help and sleep :/

Bring her to bed with you? Or camp out on the floor of the room she is sleeping in for the night.

There isn't enough room in there... The pull out bed takes up too much space and my 18 month old wont sleep on the floor...

Or maybe make a bed for her in your room on the floor

Ill try this but her mom wants to figure out how to get her to sleep in her own bed at home too... I'm more looking for ways to solve the issue of why she's afraid to be alone.
