Twins schedule - Could they be eating too much/often?

posted 30th Jan
I have became very detail oriented since the birth of my twins, probably because I feel like I need to be with having 4 kids in just under 3 years. They've finally fallen into a regular schedule but I'm just wanting to know if it seems to be too much food. I did not put them on a feeding schedule, this is the schedule they've done themselves and it has stuck. Also, are they napping enough?

ETA: They will be 7 months old on February 10th.

5am - 6 oz bottle (didnt use to be a feeding and now is a full feeding)
Wake up for the day sometime between 7-8am
9:30am - 6 oz bottle
Nap from 10:15-11:45
12 noon - 4 oz baby food each (JUST added this feeding as of 2 days ago)
2pm - 6 oz bottle
Nap immediately following until 3:30
5pm- 6 oz bottle
6 or 6:30pm- 4oz baby food each
8pm- 6 oz bottle

So, what do you guys think?

you feed a child when it's hungry. if you are really concerned about their food in take, you need to be discussing this w/ their pedi and not online.

Already did, I'm just comparing with others.

It sounds like they're good eaters. I'd be grateful. I could never get my son to take any more than 4 oz a bottle, no matter what. I would love having a baby eat this much.

They took only 4 oz until maybe a month ago. I thought it'd never end. They were eating every 2 hours day and night until they hit 5 months. So glad those days are behind us.

My twins ate more than that, but like said feed them when hungry. If they are spitting it up then there could be suspicion of over eating.

I'd be shocked if I saw you actually write something useful, just once.

Looks pretty similar to our schedule in terms of feedings and naps. Ours sleep from 7-7 each night, but have the same number of bottles and naps a day. We do two solid feedings too... I think a bit less in quantity though. I think from previous posts, yours are bigger though. My girls are 15 and 16 lbs so that would make sense.

Oh, so to answer your question, IMO they are eating just fine. They are actually eating less frequently than mine since they are up for longer days. And in terms of the amount, I think they are prob eating exactly what they need.
Glad to see they are getting up at 5am now, instead of 4am! That makes a difference! And if they go back to sleep after that, that is great!!
