LO had his 9-month wellness check up today. He is sick, and has been sick since Dec 31... so he's lost a little bit of weight (poor kid). He's been put on his FIFTH different round of antibiotics. His pneumonia is finally gone, but he's got his third ear infection this month. No antibiotics seem to be working for him. I feel so bad for him.
Anyways, he was 29 inches long and 20 pounds. They said he is in the 45th percentile for weight and 85th for height- which I find a bit funny because he's so chubby. I don't know how he can only be in the 45th percentile- but I guess fat weighs more than muscle. Hah.
Besides the ear infections and what not, he is a healthy boy and hitting his milestones right on the spot. He's finally popped out two bottom teeth. He's moved away from the army crawling and has decided that standing up on furnature and walking around it is WAY more fun. He only says "mama" and "dada" on occasion. Mainly when he's upset and trying to get our attention.
The biggest accomplishment this past month is that he is now sleeping in his own room, in his own bed, all night. He has been waking only once at night, sometimes not at all! I'm so proud of him. It was a very easy transition, and I was surprised since he has been sleeping with my husband and I.
I am also proud to say that we are still breastfeeding. No supplementing or pumping. This is a huge accomplishment for me because I had a terrible time with breastfeeding in the past and never imagined it would be so easy and effortless this time around.
I don't have many pictures from the past month, really, because he's been so sick and miserable, but here is a cell phone pic of him from last week.
