Because he wants to get her out while he's still able too.. Like I said before he doesn't think my pelvic bones are big enough for me to push her out if we leave her to long. And at my last appointment which was last wednesday I was 1cm , 50% effaced

But he has no idea how big she is. She could be 6lbs and 19 inches for all you know.

Your doctor is being lazy.

Want to make bets that he works 2 days before your due date and is off on your due date and doesn't feel like being bothered on his day off?

Yeah, but I still don't want to take the risk of her not being small and needing an emergency C-section. He's the doctor I'm trusting him, I only posted this asking people what was to be expected with being induced.

You are at a higher risk for c-section with an induction as well. Do some research on inductions and c-section rates. Do you know your doctors c-section rates?

My doctor isn't lazy. He's on call the entire weekend, it has nothing to do with him being lazy.

He really has you under his spell. In 2 days, your baby will not be too big to birth.

Okay well this isn't worth my time anymore. I posted this because I was worried not to have you guys think your a doctor and know more then mine does. You may have a baby you don't deliver them or know everything there is to know about them. Bye.

Seriously though do some research on inductions and the risks. Not all doctors know best some are very cut happy and dont always have their patients best interest at heart. You dont know me at all for all you know I could be an OB or an OB nurse. I just think you should know all the risks of an induction before you have one.

I know all the risk's believe me, my entire pregnancy I've had my nose in every pregnancy book I could get my hands on. But I also trust my doctor, he's given me no reason not too .

You should be worried about giving birth before your due date.

How many babies have you given birth to?

Then you should know that because you're being induced before your baby is due that you're more likely to get a c-section than if you wait.

How does he know how big she is? Your body is MADE for giving birth -- do you really think your baby is going to be so abnormally huge that you can't physically birth to him/her?

hunny your gonna get a lot of negative feedback on this but if you are confident with your dr and their decision then dont refuse it. i dont think a dr would do something that isnt safe and the best option. -- to the actual post. take movies music books things that you and the other ppl enjoy doing. if you have a laptop or ipad id take it .. just take things to help pass the time.. and some change for your S.O so he can hit the vending machines it may take a LONG time.   good luck and congrats!!
