Which Medela pump?

I'm looking into renting a breast pump so I can start storing some extra milk. The place I would be renting from offered two different pumps- the Medela Symphony or the Lactina. Anyone have any experience with either of these? Not sure which one to get. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!

I used the symphony while I was in the hospital after I delivered. It worked very well. Usually the hospital grade ones you can rent work really well.

I've been reading the reviews on the Symphony and all of them are good. I had no idea pumps cost that much! Good thing I'm renting lol. It's only $40 a month!

Lol. I know! Luckily I called to check and found out insurance covered mine. I only had to pay $50 for a Madela Swing (Normally 150ish around here.) So lucky. lol.

Have you checked? You might be covered if your ob or LC writes a script.

I haven't checked but I will now! Thanks for that. I didn't know insurance would cover them. My doctor RX'd me one when I was in the hospital but they didn't have any available at the time.

I've heard with all of the insurance changes that pumps are covered a LOT this year.   I hope it works out for you!

I rented the symphony bc I got twice as much milk as I did with my playtex pump.
