I know I'm late, but yes. My 3 year old is still rear facing. I plan on keeping Roo rear facing as long as possible. His infant seat goes to 30 pounds. I want to get Hailey a Radian with our taxes and Roo one next year.

I switched my son to FF around 22 months old because during every car ride he would scream bloody murder, toys never helped..me and SO just about had a mental break down any time we had to drive any where so we caved and flipped him. He does a lot better now but still isn't too fond of car rides.

I will require that anyone RF my child as long as she's RFing in my car. I will tell them the reasons why I want her RFing and if they don't like it, they don't get her. I'll make other plans if I need her watched or something.

Whats sad is the last few days I have since INFANT Carriers facing forward in car's I'm like did I just see what I think i did... Who is stupid enough to have a child ffing in an infant seat.

God WTF is wrong with ppls brains. Stop listening to your parents and grandparents about when they were kids. Smurf HAS changed!!! Bleh.....i only say that because i had a friend who's mom told her it was okay to rear face her daughter in an infant seat. Luckily she posted on facebook and we avoided death of a baby.

What's worse is when it's the parents who are just ignorant, they know the facts & simply disregard them for ridiculous reasons. It's one thing to not know but when they do & STILL don't practice carseat safety then it's just sad. Know better, do better! I will never judge a parent who just isn't knowledgeable on the subject & doesn't know any better. I myself, didn't know what I know now w/ my 1st baby & turned him FF at 8mos. old....I know now how horrible that could have been if I was in an accident & thankfully I never had to find that out the hard way. Now that I researched it more, I know better & I do better....DD is 29mos. old & still rear facing! She will continue to until she outgrows the maximums for RF in her Graco My Ride & her Evenflo Triumph.

I had a friend who turned her daughter FF at only 4 MONTHS OLD!!! I couldn't believe it!! Her excuse was that her daughter was so big for her age that she couldn't comfortably fit RF. BULLSmurf!! Yes, her daughter was a big baby at 4mos. old but there is NO way her 4mo. old was bigger than what my 29mo. old is now!!

I'm supah late butttt Addison rearfaced in a True Fit until she turned 3, then we forward faced her in a Nautilus. At 4 1/2 she's still harnessed. I see kids all the time in the Prek pickup line not in carseat, in low back boosters or in a damn carseat and not buckled in. Like magic will hold them down in case of a crash.

I try my hardest not to look at other carseats. It just pisses me off.

Me too! I felt bad because there was a lady at story time at our library who brought her infant seat in. It was ancient. I assume from her older kid, but there was no way it was less than 6 years old. I don't know if she didn't know better, couldn't afford a new one, or what. It made me sad for her baby.

My son is 13 months and I want to keep him rear facing as long as possible. I have a convertible car seat in my car rear facing but my car is not being used at the moment because I need to get it fixed so me and my boyfriend are sharing his car. He won't let me put the convertible seat in his car. He says its too big and takes up too much space so we still use the carrier carseat. That thing is becoming a pain in the butt with a 13 month old. I'm trying to convince him to let me put the other one in his car.

You need to check the height and weight limits on the carrier, if he's outgrown it, put the damn convertible seat in your boyfriends car anyway.
