I had to turn Tyler at around 13 months because the car seat kept turning over every time I'd go around a turn and it was too big to go behind the seat.

I don't really see a reason either. I mean, its what they're used to. They dont know any different.
Unless of course there's a safety reason like the other ladies and their kids choking themselves or vomiting.

2.5 year old and almost 5 year old (in March) are still rear facing in Radians. Obviously the 11 week old is too

The majority of kids love RFing! They get to chill back and recline, sleep without getting head cramps, and their legs dont fall asleep like if they were dangling if they were FF.

I got my co-worker to ERF her daughter just by showing her a crash test video. She had been rear-ended (gently, fortunately) and was doing research to replace the car seat. I helped her with some car seat knowledge I have and mentioned how a lot of car seats now allow for ERFing. She asked what that was, so I explained it to her and showed her the video. She chose to go with the Britax Advocate 70-G3 and turned her FFing 2 year old daughter around to RFing. She said her daughter cried at first, but she bought a little mirror (so she can still see her) and bought her some fake make-up to "put on" and stuff like that to keep her entertained. Now, she said her daughter doesn't complain or anything.

Yup. Also tried using a towel and one of these things to keep it from sliding:

yeah that seems like the seatbelt wasn't locking properly.
You might want to still check that because that has nothing to do with the seat being RF.

The seat in my fiance's car kept doing that because it didn't fit on the middle seat right. Luckily his car is big enough and I'm short enough that she can be behind the passaenger seat rear facing. Otherwise we would be taking my car everywhere.

No. The seat would hang over the edges on both sides because we have bucket seats. It didn't flip when SO used to drive but he drives in the back seat, I couldn't touch the pedals where he drove. So it'd just topple over.

I'm the same way. I didn't wanna turn dd at 3 even but she was at the seats limits. We did out best at the time and got a myride but we couldn't afford two. But dd1 is still harnessed at 5(as you probably know from past discussions on the subject haha).

Yeah. We have a small car and the myride wouldn't fit unless my boobs were touching the steering wheel. Which I'm definitely not able to drive like that.

Ever since dd started ffing her legs fall asleep all the time. She hates it. It's painful for her.
