constipated 5 month old

So LO was up all last night screaming and moaning. He really wanted to sleep but couldnt. Im pretty sure he is constipated. he hasnt pooped in three gong on four days. He is really gassy too. The only thing is he is EBF so everything ive read said they shouldnt get constipated. Normally if he goes thislong he has a huge blow out so im just waiting for itto happen. is there anything i can do with out feeding him solids????

I would give him a suppository. We had to do that around 5 months with ours once or twice. You buy the pediatric ones and then break it in half for baby. Lube it up and slide it in... eek. I made my mother in law do it because I was scared. Baby didn't seem bothered by it at all shockingly. If still no poop, then you can do it again. That will be your quickest solution to solve your problem.
Then you can give an ounce of prune juice through a bottle (if yours takes one) each day until he's regular again.
This was our directions straight from the pediatrician.

You could boil some water, let it cool and offer him a little bit. He may just be gassy and not constipated though. My bubs only pooped every 7-10 days before starting solids.

I would try gas drops before a suppository.

I tried giving him a little apple juice. he just spit it back out and made a yucky face lol. i then tried a warm bath and he finally pooped! it wasnt a blow out as i was expecting but it was on the watery side. but now i have my happy baby back

It's always a relief eh   So it was probably just gas or an upset belly as there were no hard stools.

That might have just been overflow poop. She might still be constipated. Hope not though.
