PCOS :(

posted 30th Jan
Hello mommy's :-) So I had a C section with my last he's about to be one now and I'm trying to have another. I went to the Dr's and was told I have PCOS(after a US and blood work) and that's why my OPK's are never positive and my period is all messed up. Do any of you mommy's have PCOS? If so were you able to get pregnant & how long did it take you? Any tips/ and or meds you tried or anything I should make sure and ask for??
Thank you!!

I have pcos, got the signs from about 15 years old and got diagnosed when I was 17.I know tons of people who still get pregnant with it.Also, you don;t develop it, you're already born with it, its usually passed on through genes, if you have had 1 baby naturally already I wouldn't worry.I got prescribed metformin as I was having trouble loosing weight and the signs were bad, I got pregnant a couple of months afterwards by accident.

We tried getting pregnant for a year before I went to he doctor. Was diagnosed with PCOS. He told me to try and change my diet first. Low carb, high protein. I coupled that with an exercise regime. The more in shape I became, the more my period would regulate itself. (it would dissapear for months at a time). About six or seven months later we got pregnant.

I'm not sure about my genes because I'm adopted but my mom who adopted me has PCOS also so she's told me a lot. I have always been very small until my last baby and I havent been able to get the weight off! I think it might be part of why I am not ovulating or having a period. I just got really sad cause my Dr. said I have a small chance of getting pregnant again.

It's harder too loose weight with pcos. You won't be getting a period every month because you're eggs don't get released, they just cluster up and that's how the cysts are formed.Do you get pain as-well?Before I got pregnant I'd be in agonizing pain with them.PCOS can't be cured as-well although the symptoms can be reduced.Docs say too loose weight but I don't think they realize how hard it is with pcos.

Yes, I get pains in my right side specially when I'm "baby dancing" with my SO it sucks! I have a Dr's appt. in 2 weeks to talk about what I want to do. My mom told me to ask to be put on meds to have a period then take metformin and clomid together.
