...stop using baby monitors? When is it safe to?

ours broke when she was almost 3. I was still using it then because she like to play in her room alone and that way we could still hear her.

At 3 and 1.5 we still need one. I like having it since they still wake up in the night sometimes. Or they end up in our room if we don't get to them first.

DD is almost 2 and I still use ours.

cameron is 4.5 and ive been using it lately while hes sick. with the humidifier going in his room, and if im in the living room with the fan on then i like to be able to hear him

I only used mine a time or two. Like if I was going to do yardwork while she was napping

Moniters aren't a necessity. It's safe to never use one ever. It's all about your preference

My son is 16 months and he wakes up at night, he will be awake for 1-3 hours. He never gets upset, he just talks and laughs. It's impossible for me to sleep through that so I shut the sound off on the monitor. Our room is right next to him so I know if he started crying or something I'd hear him even without the monitor.

I just wondered if that was bad or something.
