impetigo

Has anyones child had impetigo? My son has it and is on antibiotics for it. It has cleared up but is very red still. I am going to be making an app with his doctor for monday when he is off the perscription. I am just wondering how long will it take till he will no longer have the redness

My son had it, and the antibiotics were just a topical cream. I don't remember exactly how long it took, but I remember it feeling like forever before it cleared up.

I my oldest had it this past summer and the doctor gave her an antibotic cream for me to apply 3 times a day I think.

my son just had his cleared up about a week ago. he had the oral antibiotics and also a topical antibiotic.

My son is on keflex which is a liquid medicine

DD had a topical cream and an oral antibiotic. It took about a week to clear it up.

I made an appointment with my family dr because the one we went to was rude and its still really red. So hopefully it will clear up by friday but if not at least he will see a doctor who isnt incompetent and that I have good faith in
